Donate your unwanted art, craft, and sewing supplies.

We collect good-quality new and pre-loved art, craft and sewing supplies in Kirikiriroa Hamilton and put them back into the hands of people who will use them. Your abandoned hobby could be someone else's next creative project!

We do this by selling donated supplies through our online shop, which helps keep materials affordable and support what we're building. Some supplies will find their way into workshops, community projects and creative sessions. Either way, they get another chance to become something.

Items that we accept:

We're interested in good-quality creative materials that still have plenty of life left in them. If you're clearing out a craft room, downsizing your sewing stash or wondering what to do with supplies from a hobby you've moved on from, get in touch.

Sewing supplies

Fabric, remnants, buttons, ribbon, trims, lace, thread, embroidery supplies, yarn, wool, sewing patterns, zips, fastenings and useful haberdashery.

Craft supplies

Paper, card, beads, stamps, stickers, embellishments, cutting tools, craft kits, scrapbook materials and other useful making bits.

Art supplies

Paint, brushes, pencils, pastels, inks, markers, artist paper, sketchbooks, canvases, printmaking materials and art tools.

Interesting stuff

Vintage craft supplies and sewing notions, unusual papers, ephemera and the mysterious things you've kept for years.

What we don't take...

Scrappy is a creative reuse shop rather than a general recycling service, so please only donate materials that someone else would be excited to find and use.

We can't accept broken tools, dried-up paints or pens, dirty or mouldy materials, tiny unusable scraps, household rubbish or anything unsafe.

A good rule of thumb is: would you happily give this to a creative friend? If the answer is yes, we'd probably love to see it.
